The DC Extended Universe superhero film The Flash may be one of Hollywood’s most chronically delayed movies. Still, if recent footage is any indication, the wait may have been worthwhile.
Ezra Miller is the super-fast hero in Andy Muschietti’s The Flash, following Barry (Miller) on his exploits as he travels the multiverse.
At CinemaCon 2022, Warner Bros debuted a small trailer for the upcoming film, offering viewers their first glimpse of Miller, who is heard sobbing and uttering the phrase “Time has a pattern,” according to Deadline.
The magazine claims that the trailer also depicts Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne in his own right, residing in Wayne Manor and sporting long hair and a beard. At one point, he can be seen in one scene posing in front of seven recognisable Batman costumes.
“You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts,” In a nod to his line from the 1989 Tim Burton picture, Keaton responds, “Let’s get nuts,” when Miller’s title character asks if he’s part of a scheme to save the multiverse.

According to rumours, the trailer also gave viewers their first look at Michael Shannon’s Zod and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl. The Flash, which explores a multiverse of DC Comics heroes, won’t just feature Keaton’s Batman as Bruce Wayne, and Ben Affleck will play the same part from 2017’s Justice League with Keaton.
The unexpected news has fueled rumours that additional performers from DC’s illustrious filmography may make a comeback, including Brandon Routh’s brief stint as Superman.
After recently donning the famous Superman suit for The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, the Legends of Tomorrow actor expressed his delight in the concept in an interview with Geek House Show.
“I mean, yeah, I think that’s always a possibility,” he said. “Of course, they’re bringing in Michael Keaton, which I’m excited about. And some other people from the past DC projects, and I think it’s very exciting.
“It worked well in Crisis On Infinite Earths, and I was extremely proud and honoured to be a part of it and reprise my Superman. So it’s absolutely a possibility – you can do anything! Everybody lives and dies all the time in those things.”
The Flash Release date
Unfortunately, there is a long wait ahead. On June 23, 2023, The Flash is currently ready to open in theatres.
The movie’s first release date in theatres was for November 2022.
As part of Warner Bros’ response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the film went to June 3 2022, before being postponed by a year.
After numerous setbacks and pre-production delays, the Flash ultimately started shooting on April 26, 2021.
Miller signed on as early as 2014, so by the time we see the movie, it will have been almost ten years after the performer decided to play the character. As a result, fans have already had to wait a long time to see a standalone picture. How about some patience?

The cast of The Flash
As previously mentioned, Ezra Miller will play Barry Allen/The Flash in the title role. Due to schedule issues, Billy Crudup had to leave the character of Barry’s father, Henry and be by Ron Livingston from The Conjuring. Barry’s mother, Nora, will also be by Pan’s Labyrinth actress Maribel Verd.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Muschietti stated that Affleck’s performance was “a very important component of the emotional impact of the movie.” “Bryan and Affleck’s Wayne’s connection and relationship will provide an emotional dimension we haven’t seen before.
Affleck discussed the movie with Variety, saying, “It was a nice way to revisit that as the prior experience had been difficult.” The movie, as previously announced, would depict the events of the Flashpoint comic, in which the Flash tries to go back in time to save his mother, leading to the formation of an alternate timeline.
It certainly seems intriguing that Miller has publicly said that “our precious DC universe will inevitably be torn asunder to an endless, headache-inducing fabric of multiversity.”
The plot of The Flash
And thanks to director Andy Muschietti, who claims that the movie is, we now know a little bit more about the multiverse that will allegedly be in the movie “a little bit of a hinge in that it presents a narrative that suggests a unified universe in which all of the previous cinematic iterations are legitimate.
“It’s inclusive in that it is saying all that you’ve seen exists, and everything that you will see exists, in the same unified multiverse.”
Muschietti added, “It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but their characters are more related than we think.
“They both lost their mothers to murder, and that’s one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That’s where the Affleck Batman kicks in. I’m glad to be collaborating with someone who has been on both sides of the camera, too, and he understands.”
The movie was from various locations, but the Gotham City scenes that interested us the most were in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
