Yo Gotti grew up in a violent neighborhood, and federal officials searched his family’s home when he was in the third grade. Gotti started smoking, drinking, and stealing at a young age but changed his emphasis when he realized that his current course would only get him arrested. He began rapping at the age of 14 and began performing.

The albums were “Back 2 da Basics,” “Self-Explanatory,” “Da Rap Game,” “From Da Dope Game 2,” and “Da Rap Game.” Then, in 2012, he released his sixth album, “Live From The Kitchen,” “5 Star,” the album’s lead song, reached its highest point of 79 on the Hot 100 and 11 on the US Rap charts. In its first week of release, the album sold 16,000 copies and debuted at number 12 on the US Billboard 200. Gotti departed the label after becoming dissatisfied with RCA over the album’s poor sales. He issued a mixtape titled “Cocaine Muzik 7: The World Is Yours” at the end of 2012.

Yo Gotti stated his seventh studio album, titled “I Am,” will be released in November of that year after beginning a new distribution agreement with Epic Records at the beginning of the year. Young Jeezy and YG contributed performances to the album’s lead track, “Act Right.” The song debuted on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles list at position five.
