He received a copy of the performance tape from his agent, Jason Steinberg, who urged him to check out stand-up comedy in New York City. So, Kreischer moved to New York City and accepted a job operating the door at the Boston Comedy Club in Greenwich Village. Will Smith’s production company contacted Kreischer shortly after firm with an offer to star in a comedy.
