The M8, Samsung’s latest Smart Monitor series, debuted on Monday featuring a thin frame, UHD resolution, and a magnetic SlimFit Cam. Warm White, Sunset Pink, Daylight Blue, and Spring Green are the four colors available for pre-order in the M8.
Display and design
The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 has an iconic narrow design, measuring 11.4mm in thickness, which is nearly three-quarters thinner than prior generations. It comes with a height-adjustable stand (HAS) and tilts functionality to assist users in finding the ideal position. It has a 32-inch UHD display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate.
A magnetic SlimFit Cam that can attach to the monitor and be removed at any moment is also included. To follow and catch an individual speaker, the camera has Face Tracking and Auto Zoom features. The display also has adaptive image technology, which adjusts the display brightness and color temperature automatically to improve viewer comfort.
Productivity
By connecting to numerous IT devices via the updated Smart Hub, the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 creates the ideal home office environment without the use of a PC. The Workspace User Interface brings together all of the services needed to work on one screen, allowing users to connect wirelessly to a Windows or Mac PC and take advantage of a variety of useful features such as Samsung DeX, Apple Airplay 2, and Microsoft 365 cloud service, as well as mirroring content from a smartphone to a smart monitor.
Smart Things Hub allows consumers to wirelessly connect all of their IoT devices. The Smart Things app’s easy control interface highlights all information offered by other devices linked to the M8, including light switch and socket power, allowing users to effortlessly follow IoT devices across the house.
When Bixby is engaged, the Smart Monitor M8 also has a high-sensitivity Far-Field Voice microphone with an Always-On Voice capability, which displays conversation information on-screen even if the monitor screen is switched off.
Entertainment
Users may also use the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV through Wi-Fi without having to connect to a PC or TV.
