Will Zalatoris: Net worth, girlfriend lifestyle and much to read about!

William Patrick Zalatoris (born August 16, 1996) is a PGA Tour golfer from the United States. On the Korn Ferry Tour, he won the TPC Colorado Championship in 2020. While making his debut, he finished second in the 2021 Masters Tournament.

Will is a professional golfer from the United States who competes on the PGA Tour. William Patrick Zalatoris is his full name.

Some interesting facts about him:

His grandpa was a U.S. military pilot for more than 30 years, and his father and uncles were also pilots,” according to Golf Monthly. He expresses an interest in learning to fly. His mother was a University of Oregon track and field athlete.

In Golf Digest, Zalatoris wrote, “There’s no Korn Ferry Tour trophy sitting at home without my dad bringing me to a driving range when I was seven years old to hit thousands of balls into a net 15 feet in front of us. And there’s certainly no opportunity to reach the PGA Tour without my parents picking up their lives to move from San Francisco to Dallas when I was nine years old, giving me the chance to play in competitive junior events.

He further said, “They did everything for me, and honestly, it makes me emotional writing it down. I’d say they sacrificed their lives so that I could pursue my dream, but my mom—a former track-and-field athlete and competitive person herself—would probably close the computer and call me right away. Because in my parents’ view, this was a choice. A choice that’s allowed me to be sitting here writing this article.”

According to the Wake Forest sports website, Zalatoris is an only kid. Still, he has formed a close friendship with another great athlete. Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback turned CBS football pundit Tony Romo. He refers to Romo as his “big brother.” Both Romo and Zalatoris are members of Dallas’ Maridoe Golf Club.

He said that he went back to my home course in Dallas last year to play with some old pals, Zalatoris noted in Golf Digest.” I am lucky that my usual Sunday game includes Tony Romo, and out on the course, I’m going on about life, expectations, and everything under the sun. Tony—who is no stranger to lofty expectations—interrupts me, looks me in the eye and says, ‘These are the years you’ll look back on and be fond of because life is so simple. But instead of thinking like that, you’ve made everything such a big deal.'”

He finished second in the Master’s Tournament 2021, making his professional debut.

Zalatoris won the US Junior Amateur title in 2014 while representing Trinity Christian Academy in suburban Dallas, Texas.

He was named ACC Player of the Year in 2017 while attending Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

In 2017, he was a member of the United States Walker Cup squad, alongside future PGA Tour champions Collin Morikawa and Cameron Champ.

He dropped out of school after his junior year to pursue a career.

Zalatoris began his professional career in 2018, but he did not go past the first stage of the Korn Ferry Tour Q School.

In 2019, Zalatoris depended on Monday qualifying and sponsoring exemptions to compete in Korn Ferry Tour events due to his lack of status.

On July 7, he earned full membership for the 2020 season after tying for third in the LECOM Health Challenge. He finished the regular season 60th in points and made a full status for the 2020 season.

In July 2020, Zalatoris won his first professional tournament, the TPC Colorado Championship, by one shot.

He climbed to the top of the Korn Ferry Tour points standings with the victory and qualified for the U.S. Open at Winged Foot. He aced the par-3 7th hole in the opening round of the U.S. Open, almost matching it six holes later. He finished tied for sixth place, five over par, alongside world number one Dustin Johnson; it was his first top-10 in a significant competition.

He followed it up with a T8 at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship, and after the Bermuda Championship in early November, he earned Special Temporary Member status.

Zalatoris finished second in the Master’s Tournament in April 2021 with a score of 9-under-par, one stroke behind winner Hideki Matsuyama, the first male Japanese player to win a major. For the 2020–21 season, Zalatoris was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

Zalatoris tied for first place in the Farmers Insurance Open after 72 holes in January 2022. When Luke List struck his approach shot to a foot away from the first playoff hole and scored a birdie, he lost a sudden-death playoff.

Zalatoris finished second in a major tournament for the second time in May 2022. In the PGA Championship at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he fell in a playoff to Justin Thomas.

His age and height

On August 16, 1996, he was born. His current age is 25 years old as of 2021. His height is 1.88 metres or 6 feet 2 inches. Richard Zalatoris is his father’s name.

Salary and Net Worth of Zalatoris

His annual compensation is around USD 298,662. Zalatoris is an American golfer with a 5 million dollar net worth.

His girlfriend or wife

When it comes to the significant events, he has a runner-up finish at the 2021 Masters behind Hideki Matsuyama.

Following a T-6 finish at the 2020 U.S. Open, he achieved this. He also tied for eighth place in the 2021 PGA Championship.

As a former PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, Zalatoris is highly considered to become a future star.

He’s a member of the Players Advisory Council and has spoken out about the controversy surrounding speculation of alternative leagues financed by Saudi Arabia.

“You can’t have it both ways,” Zalatoris told the media ahead of the AT&T Byron Nelson a few weeks ago.

Caitlin Sellers, Zalatoris’ fiancée, is always by his side on the fairways. At the University of Texas, the pair met. In 2018, Zalatoris posted a photo of the couple on Instagram.

He stated it was the most acceptable day of his life when he proposed last April.

Sellers, also 25, has a Master’s degree in marketing and currently works as an analyst for a Texas-based firm. Her background is unknown.

Her Instagram page is secret because she prefers to keep a low profile. Though Zalatoris’ meteoric climb to fame may change that.

Although Zalatoris has not yet married, he does have a girlfriend called Caitlin Sellers. He began dating in 2028, and their relationship has taken off since he became pro the previous year. The couple has two degrees, one of which is a master’s degree.
