And now, Nusret Gokce, the chef, butcher, and restaurateur, has finally extended his branches of restaurants and has now opened a new restaurant in London. The restaurant, which is known by the name Nusr-et is recently becoming a trendy and grossing topic of conversation on social media platforms and the reason may leave you surprised. Recently a Twitter user, who paid a visit to the luxury restaurant shared a picture of the bill after having the meal and the list of the rate of foods may just leave you stunned and it’s really shocking for all the netizens out there.
The photo of the bill which was shared on Twitter by the Twitter user featured a list of items that he ordered at the luxury restaurant. The total bill he received at the end amounts to £1812.40, which is, in Indian rupees, is Rs 1,81,494. Shocking right? Having a great meal and at the end receiving a bill of more than 1 lakh. It has really stunned many netizens out there. As the Twitter user posted the photo, he captioned the post, “It’s cheaper to fly and have food at Salt Bae’s Turkish restaurant than to go to the London one. £9 for coke. £630 for Tomahawk steak. No thank you.” Since that post has been made, the photos are getting viral on Twitter and people can’t stop commenting and reacting to this hefty bill. While some people also concentrated on each food and their prices, which actually shocked them even more. Looking at each price, it was more than what we all may have expected. While other netizens said that it would be better to go on a vacation and relax and enjoy, rather than spending all that money on a meal.
Talking about each food and their prices, some drinks like 2 cokes cost around Rs 900, 4 red bull costs Rs 4,300. A steak, actually a Tomahawk steak, cost around Rs 62k. So just having a steak will cost you around 62K, Netizens are right, one can have a small vacation instead of having a small steak.
One Twitter user commented, “£44 for 4 red bulls??? Is salt bae okay? I am flabbergasted”, while another Twitter user commented, “£11 for red bull. It better give me wings”. And one user wrote, “At this point, Nusr-Et isn’t a restaurant anymore, issa lifestyle”, while another mentioning “FAM! £9 for water….for WATER IN A BOTTLE?”. People were more shocked by looking at the service charges because some people thought that they can buy the most expensive meals according to them by just paying the cost of service charges, as the charges themselves are really high, that’s around £236 (around 20k rupees). Regarding this one, the user wrote, “The service charge alone would be considered an expensive meal.”
Recently, Salt Bae had also shared a post on his official Instagram account which featured his new restaurant which opened in London. Well, although the restaurant may be swarmed with Salt Bae’s elite and luxury clientele, netizens surely have a different opinion about dining or having food there. Of course, everyone would think twice before spending around one lakh for having a meal or buying cokes for ₹ 900. But it seems like netizens are really upset with the rates of the elite cuisines and also the charges of the restaurant.
