Say hello to Chris cat; Hollywood Star Chris Pratt is now all set to voice the popular animated comic Strip cat Garfield in the new featured title ‘ Garfield’ after successfully bagging Super Mario Bros.
According to Hollywood reporters, ‘Finding Nemo’ fame, Oscar nominee David Reynolds penned the movie, and Chicken little fame Mark Dindle will direct it.
Garfield first appeared in the comics section in 1978, created by Jim Davis. Garfield is a lazy orange tabby cat that often causes problems for his human owner, Jon Arbuckle, and Odie, the cute household dog. Garfield currently holds the record for the world’s most widely organized comic strip, which debuted in 41 newspapers.
After the news came out of Chris Patt to voice the Popular comic strip cat, a Twitter user tagged the actor, saying, ” Chriss Patt has the hardest working agent in the world.”
Later Chris replied by saying, “His name is Jason Heyman, and you are correct.”
Later on Monday, he posted a picture of Garfield on his Instagram account, captioning it, ” Well! This Monday doesn’t suck.
Garfield appeared on the big screen in the live-action/animated movie ‘Garfield’ in 2004 and ‘Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties.’, its sequel in 2006. It’s been years since we heard about the Garfield project, but now the project has been officially picked by Sony Pictures for release. Although like a basic story, Grafied will live with his human owner, but no plot details of the movie have been released yet.
The news of his casting as Garfield dropped on a Monday, which comes a little over a month after Chris Pratt announced he was voicing Super Mario Bros, as Mario, the beloved Italian plumber, in the animated movie.
Pratt’s voice work also includes Pixar’s ‘Onward and Lego Movie films.’ Chris, who most recently starred in ‘The Tomorrow War,’ the sci-fi feature. The actor will next be seen in ‘Jurassic World: Dominion.’
