GRACE & FRANKIE SEASON 8 does the cast of Grace & Frankie get along?

It’s been a long trip, but Grace and Frankie are finally coming to an end, with Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda riding out into the sunset together.

Since its debut in 2015, the sitcom has maintained a strong following. It had a particular and frequently missed audience: the older woman. It was based around the titular characters, who were forced to adjust to life after their husbands came out as gay and left them for each other.

What has emerged in the seven seasons since has been hailed for its candid and amusing portrayal of life as an older woman, what going through menopause entails, and how starting anew during what some refer to as your “twilight years” isn’t as simple as it appears. Thanks to Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda’s explosive performances, it was full of heart and intensity.

It quickly became a cult classic, if not one of the best. Apart from the 13 primetime Emmys, it was nominated for but never won. It was mostly known for its prominent position in an SNL musical parody about Paul Rudd and Pete Davidson professing to enjoy the “more manly” Game of Thrones when, in reality, they’d rather spend time catching up with enemies-turned-besties.

However, the show’s continuing astounds us as much as it does you, especially given its ability to maintain its spot on Netflix’s ever-changing release schedule.

One of the show’s co-creator, Marta Kauffman, told the Los Angeles Times that there were “many reasons” to make seven episodes of the final season. “It was a combination of things, and Netflix isn’t doing long-term series anymore,” she said. “And we are fortunate that we got the seventh season.

“I think when we started, we imagined seven seasons. But, really, this is the kind of decision that comes from Netflix. But as sad as I am that it’s ending, there’s something that makes sense about it.”

Despite fan protest, cult favourites have did continue to be axed from the streaming service elsewhere on the site. GLOW, the Alison Brie-led ’80s glam-wrestling success ‘due to Covid’ after being guaranteed a final season, and The Society. It got renewal news only for Netflix to retract its decision weeks before filming was ready to begin, are two examples.

Julie And The Phantoms’ fan campaigns are still intense months after the show we got cancellation news after only one season. Grace and Frankie have proven to be Netflix’s slowest burner. Grace and Frankie will become the streaming service’s longest-running original series by the end of its run, with seven seasons and 94 episodes under its belt. That’s more than Netflix’s first big hit. Orange Is the New Black (which lasted seven seasons and 91 episodes), as well as other long-running shows like Big Mouth (five seasons and 51 episodes) and House of Cards (six seasons and 73 episodes).

This is even more impressive when you consider that Netflix has a reputation for cancelling shows around season four, with only a few making it past this point.

Recap for GRACE & FRANKIE SEASON 8

Grace’s new lover, Nick, was under arrest at the end of Season 6. Nick’s money had been illegally obtained, and Grace and Frankie had buried a portion of it. Grace and Frankie, together with their ex-husbands Robert and Sol, who are now homeless, are back at the beach house where the programme began in Season 7. Furthermore, the FBI is scouring the country for the remaining of Nick’s misappropriated riches, which Grace and Frankie have stolen. The rest of the Grace & Frankie Season 8 should focus on the consequences of Nick’s arrest, with Grace and Frankie attempting to launder the money so they may spend it. There are also rumours that Nick may be freed from prison, putting a strain on his relationship with Frankie.

Grace and Frankie’s children and grandkids are also present in the show, each with their issues and struggles. Bud and Coyote, Grace and Frankie’s adopted children, and Brianna and Mallory, Grace’s daughters from her marriage to Robert.

Rumours for GRACE & FRANKIE SEASON 8

It’s easy to see them returning when you consider the Grace & Frankie Season 8 devoted fan base and how much fun Fonda and Tomlin had to portray these parts. However, it would have to be the excellent plot for Grace & Frankie Season 8 and to be honest.

I don’t think there is any need for more. Sometimes the proper ending is the fitting ending, and you’d be better off letting everything go. In this instance, that could very well be the case. We’d like to see all of the show’s talent receive a chance to achieve other amazing things in the Grace & Frankie Season 8. It’s evident that they’re all deserving, and we believe opportunities will arise. We hope this programme inspires networks and streaming platforms. It is to continue working with older casts and to somehow depart from the standard. Grace and Frankie have demonstrated that they have the following base that spans every generation over the years. Thus many want to see Grace & Frankie Season 8.
