    IPL 2022: Australian all-rounder Shane Watson becomes assistant coach!

    We cricket fans go to earn one more amazing news recently and all of the fans, especially of this particular cricketer, are going crazy about it. You will find all the social media platforms being filled with the news and it is becoming one of the most trending topics right now. Talking about the latest announcement by JSW-GMR co-owned Delhi Capitals it is literally going very much viral today. The latest announcement was made by the former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson. As per the report he is going to become their new Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. 

    It is of the TATA Indian Premier League. The 40-year-old will be joining them as their DC coaching staff. After comprising Ricky Ponting (Head Coach), Pravin Amre (Assistant Coach), Ajit Agarkar (Assistant Coach) and James Hopes (Bowling Coach).

    While talking about his journey of becoming the assistant coach, Watson said, “The IPL, the best T20 tournament in the world. I’ve got incredible memories as a player, first of all with Rajasthan Royals winning it in 2008, led by the incredible man Shane Warne, RCB and then CSK. I’ve got incredible memories as a player, and now coaching opportunities. It’s come to be able to work under the great Ricky Ponting. He was an amazing leader as a captain, and now to be able to coach under him. He is one of the best coaches in the world now. So, for me to be able to learn the ropes under Ricky, I am really excited.”

     He added, “With Delhi Capitals, they got great squad, now is the time to win their first title. I am super pumped to get over there, work with the boys, help them out as much as I can and hopefully, we can win the first title. Can’t wait to get over there.” Truly in the entire history of cricket he is famous as one of the best all-rounders in white ball cricket. We fans saw him winning one of the two of Australia’s World Cup winning campaigns. It is in the 50 over format – in 2007 & 2015. Well, he has represented his country in 190 ODIs and 58 T20Is too.

     Also, having more than 7000 runs, and more than 200 wickets in his record, his name arises in limited overs cricket. Talking about the IPL, the Queenslander was a part of the team of Rajasthan Royals. Also he joined Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings. His journey made him an amazing cricketer as he won the title twice – with RR in 2008, and with CSK in 2018. Well, for sure now we do know that the cricketer is very well famous all around the globe because of his amazing cricket skills. 

    Also his fan following keeps increasing every single day and everyone was happy to know about his new post. When many of his fans are looking forward to seeing him as an assistant coach. He has 3875 runs and 92 wickets as per the records in the entire Indian Premier League. Also Watson has often become famous as one of the tournament’s best all-rounders.
