The IT franchise has done exceptionally well with their two chapters, and both the movies undoubtedly performed an outstanding job by frightening us! The IT horror franchise came to an end in 2019, which has definitely left all of us in confusion and we are currently wondering if there will be an It: Chapter 3.
Well, if you are a great fan of these chapters, then you may think that the third installment of the movie, can be something that will not make sense because the crew’s chapter was concluded with the second movie, which seemed to be an end. So, the confusion with the other installment is that they may do something to change the narrative, but what do we know? But according to some reports, we have come across some statements about Chapter 3.
The Losers Club returned once again from their varied lives apart to defeat IT once and for all in the second installment, though being away means they have mainly forgotten the terror they came across together 27 years ago.
Possibility of IT Chapter 3:
Well, some reports state that the movie sequence may end with chapter 2 as the loser stories have been ended and as per the book which was written by Steven King in 1988, the first two chapters have covered the storyline of the novel successfully and there is not much left for the chapter 3. While on the other hand it is also said that the third chapter may contain many changes and will surely not depend upon the novel.
It may also release between 2020 to 2023 as per the sequence of the release date. The chronology of the release date had a 2 years gap so the fans thought that it may release between 2020 to 2023. Well at this time, no confirmation has been given by the director Andy Muschietti on when the movie will air out.
Skarsgård, the actor who played the role of Pennywise, hinted at the prospect of a third installment in September 2019, as he stated, “It would have to be the right type of approach to it. The book ends where the second movie ends, so that is the final chapter of this story. There is this interesting aspect of going back in time before all this happened.” He added, “There might be a story there that might be worth exploring. Obviously that would be a story that’s not in the book, it would be a freestanding story, but obviously within the same universe. So, there might be something interesting out of it. I think it would be fun.”
Probably, we all are confused if we will get another movie because these talks happened long back. After that something regarding the spin-off was hinted.
Skarsgård stated something regarding the possibility of a spin-off as he stated, “The first two stories are the book, and the second film is the end of that story. So we would do something quite literally off book. There are a few ideas floating around.”
He added, “I feel like I’ve done what I can with the incarnation of Pennywise as we know of him, so I think it would be a cool idea to change up a few things. So, without going into too much detail, there is a story that we’re kind of excited about, but it’s way too early to say.”
These conversations happened after the second movie, and there haven’t been any updates on what’s the plan.
So till now, it’s hinted that we could get a Pennywise spin-off. They could also turn the narrative around and take us back to the events before Pennywise’s encounter with the losers. We understand that there is a lot of confusion and that viewers are looking for a Yes or No response, as there is no confirmation from the crew yet. But most probably, people are expecting chapter 3.
