Mahindra delivers XUV700 to the gold medalist winners Neeraj Chopra and Sumit Antil

Neeraj Chopra and Sumit Antil indeed showed their best performance in the Olympics and Paralympics respectively and made their nation proud by winning the gold medal in javelin. By winning the gold medal for their country they have been getting a lot of praise online for the amazing game they played and the hard work they put in to win the gold medal. Now, for making the nation proud they both have also been given the brand new Mahindra XUV 700!

Soon after Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal for India in the javelin at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 Anand Mahindra announced that this special edition of the newly launched flagship SUV that is Mahindra XUV 700 will be gifted to the javelin star who is only the second Indian to win an Olympic medal individually.

Finally, Neeraj Chopra has received his brand new and dashing black-colored XUV 700 by Mahindra. Sharing the picture of his new car by standing beside it, Neeraj Chopra took to Twitter to thank Anand Mahindra and regarding this, he tweeted, “thank you, @anandmahendra Ji, for the new set of wheels with some very special customization! I am looking forward to taking the car out of a spin very soon. “

Soon Mahindra replied to Neeraj Chopra’s thanking tweet, in which he wrote, “you made the country proud @Neeraj_chopra1. We hope the XUV is the chariot of champions that will make you proud.”

While on the other hand a similar car was also delivered to the javelin star Sumit Antil, as he has also made the country proud by winning a gold medal at Tokyo Paralympics 2020 which was held a few days after the summer games. Sharing a photo of Sumit Antil receiving the car, the official Twitter account of a Mahindra XUV 700 tweeted, “Our exhilaration is off the charts as we deliver the first-ever personalized XUV 700 to @sumit_javelin who made the whole nation powder Tokyo Paralympics. Once again thank you for bearing the gold for India.” This was then retweeted by Anand Mahindra as he wrote, “We are so proud of you @sumit_javelin Thank you for giving us the privilege of sharing our very own “Javelin”  with you! may the force be with you….. Always”

Mahindra announced in August that the carmaker will build a special XUV 700 javelin edition model as a gift for all the Indian gold medalists of the Olympics.

Pratap Bose, EVP, and Chief Design Officer M&M designed the Mahindra XUV 700 gold edition. The car looks dashing in black paint and gold accents inside and out. The front grille has been finished in gold color and the upholstery also gets gold stitching on the seats and IP panel. The record has been imposed on all 6 headrests and the dashboard, while there is also a batch placed at the fender and the tailgate. Talking about the car, Mahindra is also planning to add more features to the XUV 700. Mahindra can add electric automatic rearview mirrors, a powered tailgate, and ventilated seats and they can also discontinue the low selling variant of the SUV. Mahindra has praised the XUV700 very attractively, as it starts at Rs 12.49 lakhs ex-showroom and goes off to Rs 22.99 lakhs ex-showroom. The XUV 700 is available as a 5 seater or 7 seaters, and it is also available in MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7.
