Prabhas, the star of Baahubali, has been chosen the number one South Asian superstar in the world for 2021 by the Eastern Eye weekly publication in the United Kingdom. The 42-year-old actor, who is best known for the Telugu blockbusters Bujjigadu, Billa, Darling, and two Baahubali films, was chosen for the annual 50 Asian Celebrities in the World list, which will be published in Eastern Eye, for his ability to bring attention to regional language films in India.
Prabhas came out on top of a long list of worldwide celebrities from the world of film, television, literature, music, and social media for his role in transforming the world’s largest film business. Prabhas has brought regional language films in India to the forefront at a level that has never been seen before. He has demonstrated that Bollywood is no longer in charge, and he has motivated everyone to release Indian films in different languages at the same time,” said Asjad Nazir, the entertainment editor for Eastern Eye, who prepared the list. The star’s current projects include Radhe Shyam, Adipurush, Salaar, and Spirit. Radhe Shyam, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, will be released in India on January 14, 2022.
