Priyanka Chopra Jonas slammed a media for referring to her as “Nick Jonas’ wife” in an article while promoting her new film “The Matrix Resurrections.” Chopra Jonas took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the news story and said, she doesn’t understand why this still happens to women today. The actor, on the other hand, did not disclose the name of the media organisation.
Very interesting that I’m promoting one of the most iconic film franchises of all time, and I’m still referenced as ‘the wife of…’,” she wrote.
Please explain how this still happens to women? Should I add my IMDb link to my bio?” she said.
The 39-year-old actor also included her husband, Jonas, in the photo.
In “The Matrix Resurrections,” directed by Lana Wachowski, Chopra Jonas plays Sati alongside Hollywood legend Keanu Reeves as Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity.
The fourth instalment of the franchise, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Christina Ricci, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jonathan Groff, will be released on December 22.
Chopra Jonas criticised an Australian journalist who questioned if she and her husband were qualified to present the Oscar nominations earlier this year. Chopra Jonas answered with a video that listed over 60 credits from her nearly two-decade-long career, including Bollywood films like “Mary Kom,” “7 Khoon Maaf,” and “Bajirao Mastani,” as well as her worldwide debut with the ABC series “Quantico” and her Hollywood movie debut with “Baywatch.”
