The world-famous Los Angeles attraction “Hollywood Walk of Fame” Has its new addition as the outgoing James Bond actor “Daniel Craig” has been honoured during a rare evening ceremony.
The British actor Craig has become the 2407th celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood walk of fame right next to legendary and James Bond series actor Roger Moore.
The James Bond star’s hall of fame ceremony was attended by his team from No time to die, including actor Rami Malek. Producers of 007 Franchise Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wison were also part of the ceremony.
The 52-year-old actor completed the fifth and final part of the James Bond series “No Time To Die”, released worldwide this month in theatres.
Fellow actors from the same series, David Niven, Pierce Brosnan, and Roger Moore, have received the Hollywood Walk of fame stars. However, the late British actor Sean Connery ”, who portrayed the character of a spy in the first film, is yet to receive his star.
Before the ceremony, the star thanked his fellow actors Michael Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, and Ramu for their contribution and presence in the ceremony.
Craig, after receiving a star, addresses the audience in the speech saying, ” it’s an Honour to walk all over in Hollywood if happiness is measured by the company we keep, then being surrounded by all these legends makes me extremely happy, thank you very much”.
Rami Malek, Oscar winner for the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, praised Daniel as a colleague and actor saying, ” He is a superb actor, he is dedicated, he handles all his stunts with one hand.” Further added, ” He is concerned about his craft; he is about his empathy for everyone.” ” He is capable of holding two opposing things; incredible talent and responsibility, warmth and acute awareness.
The last Bond movie stars are enjoying the blistering success at the box office opening, much to the relief of studio bosses who were leaning on the mega movie to bring out the audience from their covid halt.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce awards Hollywood stars each year to chosen ones from numerous applications. The Recipient also has to pay $50000 for creation and installation.
