Mike Flanagan, the creator of The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass has been working with Netflix once more. With The Midnight Club, Flanagan sets out to adapt the well-known young adult horror book of the same name by author Christopher Pike, working with Bly Manor partner Leah Fong. The Christopher Pike novel that serves as the basis for the television series The midnight club centers on a group of kids who reside at Rotterdam Home, a hospice for terminally sick patients. Following The Midnight Club, the team will also produce a miniseries based on Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher, featuring Flanagan’s longtime associate Kate Siegel.
