The Summer I Turned Pretty: Where can you watch the new series?

Another of Jenny Han’s novels is ready for the screen, and this time it’s for her original book readers – The Summer I Turned Pretty will be out just in time for summer. However, it wasn’t until February 2021 that Amazon handed the idea a series order, officially approving the T.V. show’s creation.

The Summer I Turned Pretty will fill the hole in your heart left by To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Jenny Han’s Y.A. novel, released years before her TATBILB series, is now a Prime Video series. The story follows Belly as she is facing a love triangle between two brothers and longtime friends during the summer months. So far, here’s what we know.

When the program was out in 2021, author Jenny Han said to Deadline, “The Summer I Turned Pretty is many years in the planning, and I’m so happy to tell Belly’s tale.” “I believe it will have been worth waiting for lifelong book readers.” I hope those new to the Summer series fall in love with these characters and this area that I hold so dear.”

Jenny Han’s most recent trilogy, To All the Boys, was from Netflix in 2018 and has the three Y.A. novels To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You, and Always and Forever, Lara Jean.

(A TATB spin-off series called XO, Kitty, is also in the works, focusing on Lara Jean Covey’s younger sister Kitty.)

The first season introduces viewers to Belly, who attracts the attention of her longtime pals Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. After spending several summers at the beach together, the brothers developed an interest in Belly.

Han, 41, was concerned about how longstanding fans would react to the series. Because of the extended delay in bringing the story to the screen. “All I want is for them to be satisfied with the lengthy wait and feel that the story has come to life in the way they expected”. In March 2022, the author told Entertainment Weekly. “I hope readers swoon a lot.” “I cried the first time I walked on set.”
