As Mahindra posted the pic, he wrote in the caption of the post, which reads,  “Remembering the best weekends of my youth. In ‘72 -I was 17. A friend and I used to often hitchhike from ‘Bombay’ to ‘Poona’, taking rides on trucks. That’s probably when I developed my love for the open road. The movie ‘Parichay’ had come out and we would sing ‘Musafir Hoon Yaaron’”

Long rides on a truck, fresh air, sunny day, open road, and a nostalgic song too, what a perfect feeling this is! Even this generation of youth would not miss the opportunity to feel this amazing experience. People those days were lucky enough to experience such a beauty of nature and open roads freely, that too regularly. And surely for some people this post may make you think about the golden memories of your childhood. If so, you’re not alone at all. Well, the post has garnered over 6,400 likes since being shared some hours ago. Even the comments section is filled with prized memories of other people, thus filled with nostalgia, and others dropped heart emoticons in their replies.

One netizen asked Mahindra, “So cool! So what happened between ‘ Musafir hoon Yaaron’ and THE MAHINDRA?”. To this, he replied with a beautiful line from the song itself. Mahindra replied with the line, “Main akela hi chala tha janib-e-manzil magar log saath aate gaye aur karvan banta gaya”

Another Twitter user wrote, “The kind of story that really warms your heart.

Kids these days get on a rat-race from preschool and miss out on all the fun and learning.”

Not wrong though! The generation has changed to a great extent were experiencing these types of beautiful experiences is becoming hard day by day.

Yet another one wrote, “Absolutely brilliant…..what a great way to experience the then era of freedom….. Natural choice on a truck cabin top, adventurous but,. “kuch real toofani kar diya aapne”
