The third season of the fantasy drama The Witcher, starring Henry Cavil, is now in pre-production. Netflix renewed the series for a third season in September 2021, two months before the debut of the second season. The series is set on “the Continent,” a fictional medieval-inspired landmass. The Witcher tells the story of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri, who is fated to be married.
The Witcher Season 3 production status
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich announced in December of last year that they are nearing the end of the scripting phase, indicating that filming on The Witcher Season 3 will begin soon. “Actually, this [December 3] is our last week in the writers’ room,” Hissrich told Techradar. “We’re almost finished with the scripting process, and it’s going to be fantastic. When will The Witcher Season 3 be released?
