All you need to know about “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”

Magicians have long been a popular theme in comic books. Mandrake the Magician by Lee Falk debuted in 1934, while Zatara by Fred Guardineer appeared in Action Comics no. 1 in June 1938. Doctor Strange deviated from the stage conjurer images of previous comic magicians by powerfully combining sorcery with the energy of superheroes to create something new was when they released doctor strange.

In that genesis narrative, arrogant, egotistical doctor Stephen Strange is involved in a vehicle accident and injures his hands. Attempts to treat his hands with science and medicine fail, so Strange journeys to Tibet in search of the mythical “Ancient One,” who he thinks can heal him. Strange becomes an acolyte of the ancient sage and a “Master of the Mystic Arts” after meeting him.

Doctor Strange (2016), starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the Master of the Mystic Arts, brought the Master of the Mystic Arts into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The picture was a box office smash, grossing more than $675 million worldwide. Cumberbatch reprised his role as Doctor Strange in Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018). (2018). And now, there is finally some news awaiting for doctor strange fans that will leave them off guard!

The marvel cinema is all set for the doctor strange sequel

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been gradually presenting the universe, and the Doctor Strange sequel will finally go deeply into the strangeness which is stranger than ever before.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was initially hinted at the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which came out in December 2021. After the credits, viewers got their first look at the trailer for the May release, and it’s apparent that the sequel won’t be a straight sequel to 2017’s Doctor Strange. The film starring Benedict Cumberbatch will address some of the fallout from previous Marvel films and television episodes.

And now the multiverse has arrived, and it’s going to become much messier. Spider-Man: No Way Home caused some very massive fissures in the Multiverse, and while Doctor Strange did his best to keep them contained, we’re completely prepared for a multiversal explosion. Between WandaVision and No Way Home, Marvel’s Phase 4 has established the upcoming Doctor Strange film as a watershed point in the MCU. And, thankfully, the film is rapidly approaching.

Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch) conducted a spell that went awry in the third Spider-Man film, splitting open the multiverse and enabling parallel realities to meet. While only individuals with a direct link to Spider-Man were harmed in that film, it appears that there may be more issues with the universe as a whole.

The trailer is out and it has left the fans biting their nails to know more

This Trailer of the doctor strange clip has provided a much more detailed depiction of the now-cracked open multiverse. Strange is up against a slew of realms and creatures somewhere between horror and high fantasy. The teaser also revealed the heroes, villains, and everything in between from Multiverse of Madness, including America Chavez and Scarlet Witch. Most crucially, it appeared to suggest the presence of the Illuminati within the MCU. The Illuminati is a collection of heroes who get together to combat the universe’s most dangerous challenges. At this time, Doctor Strange may or may not be included.

We don’t know who is in the secretive gang but with the exception of one individual, whose voice we can hear. Sir Patrick Stewart’s voice, to be precise. Stewart, of course, has portrayed Professor Charles Xavier for a long time. Could the X-Men eventually make an appearance in the MCU? This trailer appears to provide a resounding yes.

The storyline and plot of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Strange seeks assistance from Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in the teaser. She begins by apologizing for Westview, which WandaVision viewers will remember as the town she inadvertently magically pushed into her grief-induced comedy hallucination. However, he now has more pressing issues and inquires of Wanda about her knowledge of the multiverse.

We’ve been intrigued about how Benedict Cumberbatch’s casting in Spider-Man: No Way Home would play into Multiverse of Madness since it was announced. And it does so in a significant way. As a result, it makes sense that the initial teaser was released as a No Way Home end credit scene. It certainly sets the stage for some mayhem to follow.

The notion was first explored in Disney+’s Loki, which showed Loki (Tom Hiddleston) encountering multiple versions of himself from other timelines, as well as the animated What If…?, which included the voices of numerous cast members, including Cumberbatch as Strange. That might turn out to be really significant.

Stephen has said already in the Doctor Strange sequel teaser that he indeed never intended for any of this to ever happen. Karl Mordo, his friend-turned-foe (who turned his back on the Sorcerer Supreme in the 2017 Doctor Strange film and now intends to eliminate all sorcerers of their magic), warns him.

He might be taking it literally. The teaser depicts a different Doctor Strange – Dark Strange. He resembles the version seen earlier in What If…? in 2021. Viewers watched as the doctor went insane in an attempt to save Christine’s (Rachel McAdams) life, stealing power from whomever he could in order to change the course of history. If the Dark Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer is anything like the animated version, it’s evident that all of the characters fans care about are in big jeopardy.

When will the doctor strange in the multiverse of madness will be released?

The premiere of Doctor Strange as known will in the Multiverse of Madness is taking place on May 6, 2022.

Who are the returning and the new cast members?

From the first film, Dr. Stephen Strange the Cumberbatch, Karl Mordo the Ejiofor, Wong (Benedict Wong), Dr. Christine Palmer (McAdams), and Dr. Nicodemus West (Michael Stuhlbarg) will return. Scarlet Witch (Olsen), who confronted Strange in the climactic fight against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, will also appear.

America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), also known as Miss America in the comics, is the solely confirmed newcomer.

In the comics, the young superhero is one of the Young Avengers. While the Young Avengers are unlikely to form in this film, it’s worth noting that she isn’t the first member of the YA to enter the MCU recently. Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld, first seen in Hawkeye), Elijah Bradley (Elijah Richardson, first seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Billy Maximoff (Julian Hilliard, first seen in WandaVision), and Cassie Lang are among the other Young Avengers (Kathryn Newton, who will take over the role in the upcoming Ant-Man: Quantumania). The fact that their introductions are so close together is most likely not a coincidence.
