Contenders Manika Batra and G Sathiyan win mixed doubles finals in the Budapest 2021

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Manika Batra won the mixed doubles finals making the nation proud. They defeated Nandor Ecseki and Dora Madarasz from Hungary at the WTT contender Budapest 2021. The Indian players defeated the opponents 3-1 at the Budapest Olympic sports hall. 

Sathiya and Manika play really well leaving their fans proud. They won the first game 11-9 but in the second we got a disadvantage and had to lose the second round with 9-11. Well, the Indian players bounced back and did their best by winning the third game with 12-10. The game was totally remarkable just like a roller coaster ride and went on to the match by pocketing the 4th game with 11-6. In the semifinals of the mixed doubles Sathiyan and Monica also played well against Aleksandr Khanin and Daria Trigolos with scores 11-6, 11-5, and 11-4. In the previous game, Manika however lost to Elizabet Abraamian with 12-10, 11-9, 12-10, 11-8 and did not make it to the women’s singles finals. 

Talking about the game today, Indian players got back on track, that is, Sathiyan and Manika gave their best in the third round and got a 2-1 lead. The match then got more heated up in the fourth game. In the semi-finals, the Indian players lost to the reigning European youth champion and in the quarterfinals, Manika Batra was successful to defeat Sreeja Akula with 7 – 11, 11-1, 8-11, 13-11, 11-6. The mixed doubles match got underway when the Indian per leveled up and got a two-point lead to begin the final on a bright note however the game was really tough and the audience was stuck to their seats. G Sathiyan and Manika Batra won the first game after taking a 1-0 lead and do you want the first one by 11-9. Later it was 1-1 as Nandor Ecseki and Dora Madarasz won yeh 2 nd game. The second game was 11-9 as the Indian players let an advantage slip from their hands which became an advantage for the opponents. 

By this time both were equal and fans were really scared. Later, however, the game was back on track for us who were supporting the Indian players. Talking about the men’s doubles semifinal round, Harmeet Desai and Manav Thakkar lost to the skilled players Vladimir Sidorenko and Krill Skachkov. Both the winning players were from Russia and the round ended with 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, and 11-6.  Well, it is a celebration now after both the Indian talented players won the title at world tennis tour contender Budapest 2021 on Friday. 

The Indian pair totally stunned the world number 7 and top players and the duo of Barbora Balazova and Lubomir Pistej from Slovakia 11-4, 3-11, 6-11, 11-6, 11-9 in the quarterfinals. This made them enter the pre-quarterfinals and then they got better of the compatriots Manav Thakkar and Archana Kamath 3-0. Well, this match will be memorable for the players and for the whole country too.
