Everything We Know So Far About the Renewal of “DATE A LIVE” Season 4

The intriguing sci-fi romantic comedy anime television series “Date A Live,” also known as Dto A Raibu in Japanese, is based on a Koushi Tachibana light novel series of the same name. The first edition of the light novel was released on March 19, 2011. The light novel was immediately turned into a manga series after a year, and on April 26, 2012, it was first published. As is customary, light novels and comics were chosen for the creation of an anime television series, and on April 6, 2013, fans were able to see the debut season of “Date A Live.”

DATE A LIVE Season 4

Fans of light novels, comics, and anime television series flocked to the animation, which gained popularity very quickly. In addition, the programme attracted a sizable fan base. Naturally, the programme was renewed, and on April 12, 2014, “Date A Live” season 2 premiered. The third episode, however, was delayed and premiered on January 11, 2019, nearly five years later. The fans’ anticipation for season 4 is very natural, so here is everything we currently know about it.

When Can ‘Date a Live’ Season 4 Be Set to release?

Date a Live Season 3 finally debuted on January 11, 2019, and finished on March 29, 2019, after a lengthy wait for fans of the show. Despite the fact that not much time has passed since then, supporters are already calling for a fourth season. The 4th season’s scheduled October 2021 debut has been postponed to 2022. The revised release date is officially announced by Kadokawa in the brief teaser video that is seen below. As of this update, the precise 2022 release date is still unknown.

Why Did ‘Date A Live’s’ Third Season Take So Long?

Production on the third season of the animated series “Date A Live” was problematic. The 12-episode first season and an OVA episode of “Date a Live” were both created by the animation studio AIC Plus+ in 2013. The anime then changed ownership in 2014, and production studio Production IMS gained over to make the 2015 movie Date A Live as well as the second season. Unfortunately, IMS Production finally went bankrupt, and once more J.C. Staff was given the anime series and abandoned in the middle of nowhere.Only one positive was that for this third season, the majority of the key personnel from the first two seasons returned, such as director Keitaro Motonagm, production company Chiaki Kurakane, character designer Hideki Shirane, who had previously worked with animator Koji Watanabe as a key animator, and writer for the series composition.
