PM Modi virtually addresses the World Economic Forum, mentions India’s “Bouquet of Hope”!

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the World Economic Forum, Davos Agenda. He conducted the Forum in a virtual mode. In the Forum, the PM of India spoke about India’s bouquet of hope.

The Prime Minister talked about the  success in vaccinating crores of Indians. He mentioned the success of vaccinating people against coronavirus. Besides that,  the country’s Prime Minister spoke about India’s unwavering trust in democracy. He also talked about the technology to empower the 21st century with the temperament and talent of Indians as part of this bouquet of hope.

He said in The World Economic Forum, “India is celebrating its 75th year of Independence. At the same time, the country administered 156 crore vaccine doses to its population”.

The Prime Minister of India mentioned the necessity of the change in lifestyle. He talked about the importance of doing so in order to fight the crisis India is facing regarding climate. “The current throwaway culture and consumerism have made the climate challenge more serious.”

PM Modi said that India has kept a  goal of having ‘Global good’ soon. He further said that India has committed to a net zero target by the year of 2070. By that time, India’s growth will be clearly seen to a great extent. The country will gradually turn green, clean, sustainable and reliable, he added.

“Though India constitutes 70 per cent of the global population that takes up power commission of only 5 per cent, our effort for sustainable development is 100 percent.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about India’s contribution towards the world. He mentioned the importance of India during the pandemic times. He mentioned the importance of country’s multilingual and cultural environment. He said that’s the strength of the country as well as for the world. The PM said, “Our multilingual, cultural environment is not only our strength but the strength of the world.”

He mentioned that India helped to provide food to more than 80 crore people in the country. India is also the third largest Pharma producer. He said, “In this period of the coronavirus pandemic, India showcased its strength by providing free food to more than 80 crore of our citizens… Today, India is the third-largest pharma producer in the world. During this time, we have  seen how India has followed the vision of ‘One Earth, One Health’ by saving crores of lives by giving essential medicines, vaccines to many countries,” he added while talking in the World Economic Forum.

India is now considered as one of the world’s largest and safe digital payments platforms. Well, this is easily proved by the sources. It’s known that in the last month alone, 4.4 billion transactions have taken place in India. The transaction was undertaken through Unified Payments Interface (UPI), he said.

PM Narendra Modi described more deeply about the country. He stated that this is the best time to invest in India. The Prime Minister said that Indians have an entrepreneurial spirit. This can provide more energy to global partners. The country’s ability to adopt new technology helps to give energy to many of the global partners.

The Prime Minister further opened up about the information about the start ups in India too. He said that in 2014, only hundreds registered for the setups in India. But now, the number has crossed 60,000. Out of 60,000, 10,000 registered in the last six months. He also mentioned that India has more than 50 lakh developers.

“In 2014, there were a few hundred registered startups in India. Today, their number has crossed 60,000 with more than 10,000 registered in the last six months. More than 50 lakh software developers are working in the country today.”
