A stampede happened at Travis Scott’s concert resulting in the death of eight people (as per reports). Around hundreds of people are reported being hurt after the crowd went rogue at the music festival in Astroworld. The event was the first night of the music festival in Texas. The emergency officials mentioned that the crowd started pushing to the stage, and hence panic broke out at the event.
Around 50,000 people attended the festival, and a lot of casualties were reported. Eleven people were admitted to the hospital for cardiac arrest, out of which eight were reported dead. There were some ten years kids among the ones hurt. The Harris County judge has mentioned the event as the most tragic one and said everyone’s heart is broken. It is highly unlikely to get fatalities in such friendly events. Astroworld mentioned in one of the statements that their condolences and support are with the families who suffered or lost their loved ones.
Travis Scott, the rapper seen, stopped multiple times during his show as things started escalating. Once the fans were seen distressing near the stage, he asked security to help everyone. The ambulance, emergency vehicles started coming as soon the news broke out. Some people were even seen climbing and jumping on the ambulances and emergency vehicles.
As the stampede broke out, people were seen struggling to make their way out of the facility. The organizers have halted the festival, and it is being predicted to have more casualties. The Houston police have condemned this and said nobody could have thought of any of this. The officials are not in the state to make any details or factual comments on the scenario.
