The disturbances between action-drama Fast & Furious actors Vin Diesel & Dwayne Johnson have been in the buzz since the shooting of “The Fate of the Furious” in 2016. There had been certain occasions when the duo was seen exchanging criticism for each other in front of the media. Johnson even did an Instagram post raising doubts on the professionalism of Vin Diesel.
But now it seems that action king Vin Diesel is ready to bury the hatchet & has welcomed Rock to return back for the role of Agent Lucas Hobbs in the 10th part of the F&F franchise.
This time Vin Diesel took Instagram, raising his wish for Dwayne to join the upcoming first part of a two-movie franchise. He said that nobody else can do justice the way Rock does to Agent Hobbs and must show up. He further went by saying – “My little brother Dwayne, now is the time. The world is awaiting us in the finale of Fast & Furious 10”. He also mentioned that his children like Dwayne and refer to them as an uncle. He added his promise made to his late co-star Paul Walker in the post and said legacy is awaiting us.
Dwayne requested Johnson not to leave the role hanging in the franchise and mentioned there was no one else right for the position. He hoped that Johnson would consider this and help in taking the Fast & Furious finale to the ending it deserves. Johnson joined the action-packed 5th part of the Fast & Furious series in 2011 and played the role of agent Lucas Hobbs. He went on to act in three parts and later decided not to work in the Fast & Furious 9.
The F&F – 10, directed by Justin Lin, will come to theaters in April 2023. Diesel is playing the lead role as usual, along with the other cast of the series. Most of the previous star cast is returning for the finale.
