The Minister for Tourism shares pictures of stunning Mumbai’s Bandra Reclamation area!

Pictures of all changed Mumbai’s Bandra Reclamation area have been making rounds on so many social media platforms ever since it was available online and was shared by the Minister of tourism. The location was all decked up with stunning lights displays and decorations for upcoming New Year and Maharashtra Minister for Tourism, Aditya Thackeray took it to his official Twitter account to share a clip of all the stunning pictures which are winning hearts on the internet.

 The spectacular Bandra area on December 25 lit up so beautifully that all the social media users and citizens living in Mumbai were left awe-struck. As per Thackeray’s tweet, it said, “Presenting Bandra Wonderland! Do visit Bandra Reclamation and enjoy the festivities, safely! Heartfelt thanks to @reliancejio and MSRDC for their support of this initiative.”

Maharashtra MP also followed the trend and Priyanka Chaturvedi shared an official tweet on her account stating, “Hello Mumbaikars, have you visited Bandra Wonderland, celebrating Xmas and welcoming the New Year? What a lovely and cheerful initiative. On till 2nd Jan!” As talking about the festive fervor which continues, all the social media users also shared several pictures of lit-up Mumbai at night on their Twitter handles. Not only a string of videos from Mumbai has been doing the rounds on social media, but also all the people living in Mumbai or giving as a good governance of what exactly the entire area looks like now. 

To make a note of, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on December 24 banned any kind of New Year celebration. No one is allowed to celebrate the new year inside or in open spaces in Mumbai. The steps taken by the Maharashtra government on December 24 is in order to impose fresh restrictions including prohibitory orders.

 As per the orders the government has banned assembly of people in groups of more than five from 9 pm to 6 am in any public places in Mumbai. The steps are taken by the government in order to avoid any possibility of spread of the virus and to decrease the number of Covid-19 cases. Especially considering upcoming Christmas and New Year gatherings, there was a high chance that the virus would have spread among a lot of people, and thus with a view to prevent danger to human life, health, safety, the measures were issued by the government of Maharashtra. 

Not only it will help to break the chain of transmission of virus effectively, but also the order issued by Dr. IS Chahal, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai stated it will help a lot to improve the condition in Mumbai. Nevertheless, all the social media users who came across the beautiful video shared by people living in Mumbai and the Minister were super happy with the changes made in the area and how pretty it is, especially at night.
