    Karen Chen is an American figure skater Karen is a Fremont, California-based figure skater. She is a 22-year-old woman. She belongs from Fremont, California, and is a well-known figure skater, model, social media sensation, Internet sensation, influencer, and media face.


    She is a figure skater from the United States. She is a two-time bronze medallist in the CS U.S. Classic (2016, 2017), the 2015 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb bronze medallist, and the 2017 U.S. Open bronze medallist.


    About her personal life


    Hsiu-Hui Tseng and Chih-Hsiu Chen gave birth to Chen on August 16, 1999 in Fremont, California. Her parents were born in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States. Jeffrey, her younger brother, is also an ice dancer for Team USA. Throughout high school, she was home-schooled through Connections Academy. Chen stated that she wants to pursue a career in medicine.

    She was accepted into Cornell University’s School of Human Ecology’s class of 2023, where she pursued a pre-medical major in Human Biology, Health, and Society. Chen had no intention of taking any gap years or deferring her study while training for the 2022 Winter Olympics, but after the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, she decided to take a two-year leave of absence.


    Kristi Yamaguchi, the 1992 Olympic Champion, is Chen’s mentor and lives in the same area as her. Chen stated that she had spondylolisthesis in her memoir Finding the Edge: My Life on the Ice, which she published in November 2017. Chen is a fan of the Japanese figure Totoro and enjoys drawing. She was picked as one of eight POWERGIRLs to serve as brand ambassadors for social fitness blogger Cassey Ho’s sportswear firm, POPFLEX Active, on International Women’s Day 2019.

    She’s a figure skater from the United States of America. She is a two-time bronze medallist in the CS U.S. Classic (2016, 2017), a bronze medallist in the 2015 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb, the 2017 U.S. national champion, and a three-time bronze medallist in the U.S. nationals (2015, 2018, 2021).

    Karen competed in 11th place in the 2018 Winter Olympics. She’s also competed in seven ISU Championships, with her best finish of fourth coming in two World Championships (2017, 2021). She won four ISU Junior Grand Prix medals earlier in her career, including gold at the 2013 JGP Slovakia.

    She started the season in fourth place at the 2021 CS Autumn Classic International, behind Cypriot Marilena Kitromilis and South Koreans You Young and Ji Seo-Yeon. She promised to “continue to work on my consistency” in light of the jump mistakes in both programmes.
