On the 2nd of August, the Twitter conversation between the famous actor Shahrukh Khan and head coach of the Indian women’s hockey team, Sjoerd Marijne won everyone’s hearts.
On Monday the Indian women’s hockey team played in a great way and defeated Australia in the quarterfinal in Tokyo Olympics 2020 and they also booked a spot in the semifinals for the first time in history. It is a great thing that the Indian women’s hockey team defeated the world’s number one team in Australia and they lost 1-0. It is because of the amazing drag flick of Gurjeet Kaur from the penalty corner that gave India the lead in the second quarter, despite earning 7 penalty corners Australia was unable to get a goal in the match.
So while celebrating the win, and also their step to the semifinals in the team bus coach Sjoerd Marijne posted a pic of himself celebrating with the team and enjoying the celebration with them. As he posted the pic he also captioned it “Sorry family, I am coming again later”.
Now what’s more surprising is Shah Rukh Khan’s funny reply to it. Shahrukh Khan replied:
“Haan Haan no problem. Just bring some gold on your way back…. For a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd November. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan.”
Shahrukh Khan played the role of Kabir Khan, a hockey coach of the Indian’s women hockey team in the 2007 blockbuster film “Chak De India”. In this film, he guides the hockey team and makes them win the World Cup. So while remembering that film he jokingly replied to the former coach that he (the ex-coach) and billions of family members are waiting for the gold medal.
Now for Shahrukh Khan’s cute and funny tweet, Marijne came up with an amazing response and he replied :
“Thank you for all the support and love. We will give everything again.
From: The Real Coach”
This funny conversation between Shahrukh Khan and the head coach of the Indian women’s hockey team won many hearts and people enjoyed it. As a result, hashtags of Kabir Khan and Chak de India started trending on Twitter and even celebrities like Taapsee Pannu Randeep Hooda and Anushka Sharma also congratulated the Indians women hockey team and compared the film with real life.
Many fans congratulated the head coach of India’s women’s hockey team. They all are now expecting that the Chak de India moment is repeating now. Many fans have compared Marijne to the real Kabir Khan who has a great spirit. Fans also congratulated the women’s hockey team for their best performance and the team gave hope of winning a medal, and everyone is really happy for the historic achievement.
