Srinagar’s Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is open for tourists!

Srinagar is finally opened for theories to welcome everyone for Asia’s largest tulip Garden. As for the reports The tourists are finally able to watch the  beauty of the blooms on the foothills of the Zabarwan range. The former Suraj Bagh has now been turned into the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden. Well, according to the sources the garden is becoming very famous as it has approximately 15 lakh tulips. They are available in over 60 varieties. This fact is becoming one of the biggest attractions of many people around the globe. Also the fact that the garden during the spring in Kashmir is looking more absolutely beautiful is attracting people to come and visit this place. 

The beautiful garden:

Currently it is at the peak of the tourist season and the memorial tulip Garden is becoming the talk of the town. As per the reports the tulips are spread across 30 hectares of land here and there are 60 varieties of them. Well, the garden also features Daffodil, Hyssen, and Muscari blooms. Talking about this year the reports also say that they will be having an open cafeteria for a large number of tourists to welcome. Also many people who are coming to witness the beautiful site of tulips can visit the Sakura Garden which is located on the east side. 

However the work for the garden is still undergoing. As for the reports the previous year we got to see 2 lakh tourists receiving this Garden. And also it overlooks the beautiful view of Dal lake. To date all the beautiful tulip festivals are announced by the authorities. However we did not get the dates for this tulip festival which is going to be conducted this year.

Other tourist spots:

Many other places that are located near this garden that are very famous among the tourists include Shankaracharya Temple. It is located on the top of the Shankarayacharya Hill. Many Hindu devotees visit this Temple very often. It also has beautiful scenic views and you can actually get other views of the whole city as well as the Dal lake and the whole city. Then there is Hazratbal Mosque which is pristine white, located on the shores of the Dal lake. It is one of the most holiest shrine s were Muslim devoti is visit very often and Kashmir. There are also Mughal Gardens to visit near these gardens. The gorgeous gardens are with the last green lawns and beautiful flowers. 

Also many tourists love the towering mountain ranges here. From Nishat and Shalimar Bagh to Chashme Shahi, each has its unique beauty. Pari Mahal is another destination spot which is located on the top of the Zabarwan mountain.  It has the seven-terraced garden which houses the Pari Mahal, or the Palace of the Fairies. Tourists visit this place especially for its beautiful scenery as you can get a good glenms of the entire City from here. Also you will get to look at the Dal lake from the palace. As per the reports this beautiful palace was back in the mid-1600s. It was belonging to the princess Dara Shikoh and was later present an observatory for astrology and astronomy.
